Pastor Jim Mazzulla to minister in India 

from November 9-23, 2006 we need your help!

Jim has been asked to minister in Rajahmundry 

(Andhra Pradesh), India from November 9^th – 23^rd. 

He will be ministering at a Conference for ministers and 

pastors (November 14-17) and will also be ministering

at some churches and also in some orphanages, villages.

10/40 Window of opportunity is red area.

The core of the unreached people of our world live in a rectangular-shaped window! 

From ten degrees north to forty degrees north of the equator. 

This specific region, which has increasingly become known as The 10/40 Window, encompasses the 
majority of the world's Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists - billions of spiritually impoverished souls. 

Only about one and a quarter percent ( 1.25% )of Christian mission giving is going to missions work in the 10/40 Window. 

Open evangelism is difficult and even impossible because of governmental restrictions in many 10/40 Window countries.

Persecution Ranking: 26th

Missions statistics from the places of the 10/40 Window:

• Center of population:Two-thirds of the world's population -- more than 3.2 billion people -- live in the 10/40 Window.
• Unreached and unevangelized: 95% of the people living in the 10/40 Window are unevangelized. Many have never heard the Gospel message even once. There are either no Christians or not enough of a Christian movement in many cultures of the 10/40 Window to carry out vibrant near-neighbor evangelism. If those groups are to be evangelized, believers will need to leave their own culture to enter another where they will seek to plant the gospel. Such cross-cultural evangelism is required because there are people groups with no church movements that are understandable or relevant to them.
• Poverty: Eighty-five percent of those living in the 10/40 window are the poorest of the world's poor. [PowerPoint on Third World development ]

India is in that 10/40 window.  Here is some statistics specifically about India:

India is the second-most populous country in the world with an estimated 1.1 billion people in 2006. Although 80.5% of the people are Hindus, India is also home to the second-largest population of Muslims in the world.   Christians only make up 2.43% of the population!

PRAYER: LORD God Almighty, thank You for the wonderful way in which You are bringing thousands of Indians to Yourself. We ask You to strengthen and encourage the many Christians who are sacrificially pouring themselves out in church planting. We pray that their many creative efforts to bring health and well-being to the people of their nation through the knowledge of Jesus Christ will prosper even more. Amen
